The Museum

Lascaux

Lascaux IV, also known as the International Centre for Cave Art, features a full-scale replica of the Lascaux Cave. A guided tour takes you through the replica and explains the cave’s artwork and history. After the tour, you can visit additional areas such as the Workshop, Theater, Gallery of the Imagination, and Immersion Room, which provide further context on prehistoric life and cave art. Interactive displays and digital tools help explain the techniques, meaning, and significance of the artwork, as well as its influence on later art forms.
