Over 70 million people worldwide claim Irish ancestry, following mass emigration over a 1,500-year period that saw around 10 million people leave Ireland. Explore the stories behind this migration, from those fleeing famine and poverty to those seeking adventure and better opportunities. Just a 2-minute walk from EPIC, visit the Jeanie Johnston, a replica famine ship. The EPIC Gift Shop also houses the Irish Family History Centre, a resource for genealogy research.
